FlightPay Assistant

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 29 September 2026 Version: 1.0

This Privacy Policy explains how GoAround Apps Ltd handles personal information when you use the FlightPay Assistant mobile application, the FlightPay website and related services (“FlightPay”).

1. Who we are

GoAround Apps Ltd
49 Station Road
Polegate
England
BN26 6EA

Company number: 17327012

Privacy enquiries: hello@goaroundapps.co.uk
Technical support: support@goaroundapps.co.uk

2. Our privacy approach

FlightPay is designed around data minimisation. We aim to keep as much pay-planning information as practical on your own device, avoid unnecessary collection of personal information, and only send information to external services where it is needed to provide a feature you choose to use.

We do not sell personal information. FlightPay does not contain third-party advertising and we do not use your FlightPay information to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.

3. Information stored on your device

Depending on the features you use, FlightPay may store information locally on your device, including:

  • your name or profile label;
  • crew type, rank, operator, contract and pay settings;
  • tax, pension and other calculation settings that you enter;
  • roster-derived duty and sector information;
  • pay estimates, archived pay records and comparison information;
  • SNC, DDO, disruption, commission and other tracker entries; and
  • app preferences and settings.

This locally stored information is generally not sent to GoAround Apps unless a particular feature requires server processing or you choose to send information to us for support.

4. Roster uploads and parsing

If you choose to use roster PDF parsing, the selected roster document is transmitted to our parsing service so FlightPay can identify duties, sectors, dates, roster codes and related information needed to calculate pay.

A roster may contain personal information about you and may incidentally contain information relating to other crew members.

Roster documents and extracted roster text used by the parsing service are processed transiently. FlightPay is designed so that the uploaded roster file is deleted after processing and the roster document and extracted text are not intentionally retained as permanent server records once the parsing request has completed.

Operational server logs are kept to the minimum needed to run and protect the service. They may include technical information such as a request identifier, file size, processing time, response status and similar diagnostic information. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may also process standard connection or security information, such as IP addresses, as part of operating their services.

5. Payslips

FlightPay does not require you to upload your payslip to our servers. Payslip figures that you enter or use within FlightPay are intended to be handled within the app unless a future feature clearly tells you otherwise before information is submitted.

6. Purchases and subscriptions

If you purchase FlightPay Pro through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the relevant store processes the payment. We do not receive or store your complete debit-card or credit-card details.

FlightPay uses subscription-management services, including RevenueCat, to determine whether a qualifying purchase or subscription is active. These services may process purchase and entitlement information together with technical or pseudonymous identifiers needed to provide that functionality.

7. Push notifications

If you enable push notifications, FlightPay may process a device push token and limited technical information needed to deliver notifications. Push delivery may involve Apple, Google and notification infrastructure providers.

You can turn off notifications at any time in your device settings. Push tokens may remain until they become invalid, are replaced, are removed through operational cleanup, or you ask us to remove server-held notification information that can reasonably be identified as yours.

8. Support and communications

If you contact us, we may receive your name, email address, the content of your message, screenshots or other information you choose to send. We use this information to respond to you, investigate problems, improve FlightPay and maintain appropriate business records.

9. Diagnostics, security and service operation

We and our service providers may process limited technical information needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot FlightPay and its supporting services. This can include server request data, error information, device or app version information, network information and security logs.

We do not use this information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

10. How we use information

We use information only where reasonably necessary to:

  • provide FlightPay features you request;
  • parse rosters and return calculation data;
  • manage subscription entitlement;
  • deliver notifications you have enabled;
  • provide support and respond to enquiries;
  • maintain, secure, debug and improve FlightPay;
  • prevent abuse, fraud or unauthorised access; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

11. Legal bases

Where UK GDPR or similar data-protection law applies, our legal basis will depend on the processing involved. It may include performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing FlightPay, your consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

12. Service providers and sharing

We may use specialist service providers to operate FlightPay. Depending on the features you use, these may include:

  • Apple and Google for app distribution, purchases and platform services;
  • RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management;
  • cloud-hosting and server infrastructure providers;
  • push-notification infrastructure providers;
  • email and support service providers; and
  • other technical suppliers needed to provide or protect the service.

We do not permit service providers to use FlightPay personal information for their own advertising purposes. Where a provider processes personal information for us, we expect it to provide appropriate protection and to process the information only for the agreed service or as required by law.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect the security or rights of users or our systems, or as part of a lawful business restructuring or transfer.

13. International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate contractual or other safeguards for international transfers.

14. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to operate and secure FlightPay, to resolve disputes, or to meet legal obligations.

  • Local app data: remains on your device until you delete it, clear FlightPay data, remove the app, or transfer/export it using a supported feature.
  • Roster files: are intended to be temporary and deleted after the parsing request has been processed.
  • Support messages: may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry, maintain support history and meet legal or business-record requirements.
  • Push tokens: may be retained while needed to provide notifications and until they are invalid, replaced, removed or deletion is requested where reasonably possible.
  • Purchase records: may be retained by Apple, Google and RevenueCat in accordance with their own legal and operational requirements.

15. Your choices and deletion

Because most FlightPay information is stored locally and FlightPay does not currently require a FlightPay user account, there may be no central GoAround Apps profile containing your locally stored pay records.

You can:

  • edit or clear locally stored FlightPay information using the controls available in the app;
  • delete the app to remove its locally stored data from that device, subject to device backups;
  • turn off push notifications in your device settings; and
  • contact us at hello@goaroundapps.co.uk to ask about access, correction or deletion of personal information that we hold outside your device.

We may need enough information to verify or locate the data concerned before completing a request.

16. Your data-protection rights

Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may have rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent.

If you are in the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). See ico.org.uk.

17. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information, including limiting the data sent to our servers, restricting retention, and using secure network connections for supported server communications. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely risk-free, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

18. Children

FlightPay is designed for aviation professionals and is not intended for children.

19. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when FlightPay features, suppliers, legal requirements or our data practices change. The current version will show its effective date. Where appropriate, we may also provide notice within FlightPay.
